How does telehealth podiatry work?
Our telehealth services pair you up with one of our practitioners virtually so that you can avoid a visit to the hospital or clinic. After scheduling your telehealth appointment by calling us at 651-426-3995, we will email you an invite to join a Zoom session. Depending on availability, we strive to offer same-day options for you. Once it’s time for your appointment, just join the Zoom session. If you opt-in to FaceTime instead of Zoom, we’ll ask for your phone number when you sign up. Then, we’ll FaceTime call you when it’s time for your appointment.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
During the appointment we want you to be as comfortable as possible, but we also need to be able to see you. These steps below should help.
- Install Zoom (see “How do I set up Zoom?” below) and test your audio/video. Having trouble? Watch this tutorial.
- Find a room in your home that is well-lit; natural lighting is always best.
- Have your insurance information handy.
- Grab a pen and a notepad in case you need to take any notes.
How do I set up Zoom?
Zoom is an easy-to-use tool that let’s us chat face-to-face for your appointment. After downloading Zoom (below), you can join a meeting by going to https://join.zoom.us/ and typing in the Meeting ID (which we will provide). Remember, you will need a webcam and a microphone on the device you choose to use.
What does it cost?
Our podiatry telehealth services cost the same virtually as they would in the clinic. If you have specific cost or insurance questions, please ask when you call to make an appointment (by calling 651-426-3995).
