Christopher Phillips, DPM

Dr. Phillips was born and raised in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. He graduated high school in the Twin Cities and earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. After completing college, Dr. Phillips worked at Land O’ Lakes in the chemistry lab for a year and then began his journey through podiatric medical school in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Phillips attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (now known as Kent state University College of podiatric medicine) earning his doctor of podiatric medicine (DPM) degree. Dr. Phillips completed his three year podiatric surgical residency at Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. During his residency, he met his future wife to be, Mary. He moved back to Minnesota in the summer of 2014 along with Mary. He began practicing at White Bear foot and Ankle Clinic in September,  2014. In his free time, Dr. Phillips enjoys being outdoors to hunt, fish and snowmobile, as well as spending time with his wife, twin daughters, family and friends.

Melanie Johnson, DPM

Dr. Melanie Johnson is originally from Youngstown, Ohio. She attended John Carroll University in Univeristy Heights, Ohio where she majored in Biology and English.  After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Dr. Johnson attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (now known as Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine) earning her doctor of podiatric medicine degree (DPM) in 2010. Dr. Johnson completed her three year podiatric surgical residency at Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Additionally, Dr. Johnson completed another year of training post-residency focusing on Infectious Disease and wound care. In early 2016, Dr. Johnson moved to Minnesota to be closer to family. In her free time, she enjoys reading, photography and spending time with her husband, daughter and dog Sadie.

Christopher Kedzie, DPM

Dr. Christopher Kedzie was born and raised in DeKalb, IL. He went to undergraduate at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI where he met his wife in church choir. He worked as a strength and conditioning coach for 3 years while receiving his Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition. After acquiring his doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, IL, he continued his training with a 3-year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery with added reconstructive and rearfoot/ankle training. He enjoys spending time working with his family, wife, child, and beagle. He spends his free time fixing their home and working on vintage automobiles.

Margaret Kedzie, DPM

Dr. Margaret Kedzie recently moved back to MN after 15 years. She is originally from Owatonna, MN and went to undergraduate at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. She pursued her doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, IL followed by her 3-year foot and ankle surgical residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA. She has been working at a private practice in Pittsburgh for the past 3 years until deciding to move back to MN, closer to her family. She enjoys spending time with her husband, young son Danny, beagle Sir Newton and spends her free time on the Peloton.

Corey Valentine, DPM

Corey Valentine, DPM, is a practicing Podiatrist (Foot Specialist) who  graduated from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2010 and has been in practice for 5 years. He completed a residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center. Dr. Valentine sees patients in our Maplewood location.

Dr. Valentine’s professional interests include Bunionectomies, Hammer Toe correction, soft tissue mass removals, Topaz and Tenex, Endoscopic Plantar Fasciotomies, fracture care, and nail avulsion and excision. Outside of work, Dr. Valentine enjoys playing the guitar, cooking and spending time with his family.
